ansa app 300x300 Snapchat killer AnsaBlending SnapChat and WhatsApp, Ansa aims to be the next step in private messaging with an array of features suited for your personal activity. The app focuses on one to one communication with a difference, SnapChat focuses on an image based sharing service whilst Ansa combines the ability to send messages in text form, self destructing images and self-destructing videos. From personal experience and as I have explained below, I love this application and what it offers to its users. For this reason we have reached Ansa’s CEO, Natalie Bryla.

Francesco : Can you summarise Ansa’s main features and why they will be useful for a user?

Natalie: Ansa is the safest place to be yourself and share with friends. You can go “off the record” and have conversations that disappear from both people’s phones, send self-destructing media, and take back messages from the past with synced-deletion.

Francesco: Who else is in the team who founded Ansa?

Natalie: Ansa was founded by Evgeniy Altynpara and Natalie Bryla.

Francesco: Are you have interested in taking on Skype/Google giants by adding Live Video chatting as a feature?

Natalie: At this time, we are not focused on live video, but may incorporate the feature in the future.

Francesco: You have a brilliant plan for advertisers in the near future, Would you care to run through this for readers?

Natalie: We plan to build an ephemeral ad platform that will enable businesses to send self-destructing offers to users.

Francesco: Where would like to see the Ansa app in a year, What is the ideal scenario?

Natalie: We hope Ansa is the place people go to have fun, and speak freely with friend

Francesco: What other applications do you aim to eliminate with the Ansa app and its features?

Natalie: Our goal is not to eliminate other applications, but rather to offer a solution to an existing problem that has not been solved.

I would like to thank Natalie for this Q&A, She has been so busy recently with the start-up and was kind enough to answer some questions about the new service.

After many weeks of using Ansa as a messaging service, I found the experience very immersive and the way that the application delivered a simple get intuitive service was very impressive, It was like taking elements from my favourite IM (Instant Messaging) services and merging them together however it lacked one key element, Users from my contacts.

Although I did pull all my main contacts onto Ansa through persuasion, I found that it didn’t have what the others had, a strong engagement base. Natalie when talking at TechCrunch was very passionate about the product and spoke about many areas of the social needs of this generation that Ansa would solve and to an extent it does. If more and more people got access to Ansa I would use it as a primary tool for messaging but the cruel fact is that it doesn’t seem to be getting more traction.

Ansa are working with universities across America to be able to integrate the services into the students smartphones. But the big question here is… Will it be used? Will people engage with it? And will Ansa succeed?
