Christmas is getting closer and the final rush to buy the last presents has almost finished. Every Christmas, creativity takes places in families, but if you need to buy a gift for an entrepreneur or a guy into tech, your quest will be much easier with us. We have chosen 10 products you don’t want to miss this Christmas.
#1 - iPhone 5s
Mobile phones are a Christmas standard gift and the new iPhone 5S is promising to be one of the most chosen presents of the season. Apple has released it on the 20th of September and since then the market has perceived it in a positive way as any other Apple product in the last ten years. With a fingerprint identity sensor, an A7 chip with 64-bit architecture and an even more impressive iSight camera, the iPhone 5S is a must for every Apple fan. The iPhone 5s comes out in three different colours: space gray, silver and gold. However if you don’t want to spend much, you can opt for the a cheaper version, the iPhone 5c, which supports five different colours.
#2 - Nexus 5
Although Nexus phones are not as “famous” as the iPhone. Every year they sell out with a massive impact on the Android community. This year Google released the Nexus 5 at the end of October with the aim to compete with Apple and its devices. The most remarkable thing about this phone is the price, which is very cheap considering how good this phone is. The 16Gb version is priced at $349, while the 32Gb at $399.
#3 - iPad Air
Tablets are beating laptops and Christmas is the best time to get a new one. Released on the 1st of November, the iPad Air is the latest Apple tablet. The beauty of a device like this is what creates the magic between the costumer and the product. Even if you want something else, the design attracts you and force you to buy an iPad.
#4 - Pebble
Pebble is still hot, even though it seems that the smart watch market has been here for ten years, we are just at the beginning of it. At the moment, the closest thing you can get to a smart watch is Pebble, which could be a great Christmas present for anyone who has an Android or iPhone.
#5 - Oculus
Oculus is not out yet, but the Developer version costs just $300 and if you have to buy something for a developer, this is what you should buy. When I first tried it, I almost puked and fainted, because this product is changing the way we perceive video games and it’s doing it in a revolutionary way, which we are not used to. Although the final product is not ready, they have already released two main versions, which have showed us the real potential of something like this.
6# - Leap Motion
Leap Motion was in our best tech in 2013 list and still it is something you might consider buying. Although there are not plenty of applications, you can even think of developing your own stuff for fun. Leap introduces a concept that we have been waiting for ages and it’s just the first step of a massive revolution in the way we’ll interact with devices.
#7 - Fitbit Force
The FitBit Force is one of the most powerful wristbands in the market. This wristband is the first to have an OLED display that shows you everything from the current time to fitness stats. It’s priced at $129.95 and it tracks you even when you are sleeping. It costs $30 more than the previous version the Flex, which is priced at $99.
#8 - Slate Mobile Airdesk Desk
If you need to buy something for an Apple fan, buy the Slate Mobile Airdesk. With its innovative desing and simplicity, it is the most beautiful thing I have personally seen in the last months. You don’t need to build something complex to make it beautiful, you just need to use simple materials in the right way. iSkelt, with its desk, has solved a problem that we face every day, sitting with a laptop on our legs. The wood is able to stop the heat from reaching you. Further it has also got space for your smart phone.
#9 - Google ChromeCast
Google Chromecast is a small digital media player. It plays video and audio content on a high definition television by streaming it via WiFi from the internet or a local network. It’s priced at $35 and it lets you see whatever you are playing on your Android phone or tablet, on your television.
#10 - The Nifty Mini Drive
The Nifty Mini Drive is something that we have met recently in “A beer with” episode. If you have a Macbook Air and you are struggling to find a way to increase your memory, this is what you should buy. If your budget is not able to afford the previous products and you need to buy something for an Apple user, this mini drive is what you want.
